04The House

A small independent publisher, paying close attention.

01
The Manifesto

If you're tired of books that promise transformation and deliver platitudes, so are we.

We publish for the reader who arrived at the subject through their own life. The parent who has read the books and still can't seem to be the person who does what they say to do. The parent of a five-year-old who knows their kid is already learning what money means, mostly by watching them, and would rather be intentional about what gets passed down.

Our subject is the things that travel through families without permission. The way you say someone's name when you're tired. The money habits you learned before you could count. The silence that meant something specific in the kitchen of your childhood.

Our books will not promise you a different life. They'll name what's actually in front of you, give you something to do with it, and trust you to take it from there. That's the deal.

02

What we publish.

Practical nonfiction. Two series so far. Cycle-Breaking Parenting by Ava McKinley, on the gap between knowing what you should do and being able to do it. Raising Future Thinkers by Joanna Prescott, on talking to young children about money before the talk gets weird.

More to come. We publish slowly on purpose. We are interested in books that hold up on the second read, not on the first scroll.

03

How we work.

Independently. Editorially. Without sales-deck language. We pay close attention to manuscripts, we trust our authors, and we don't ship a book until both sides agree it's the version they want to put their name on.

We are small on purpose. The list grows when we find a writer whose work meets our editorial line, not because there's a slot to fill in a release calendar.

04The Authors

Two voices, one preoccupation.
